Candidates expected to be in attendance – Paula Schares, Jan Pels, and Dr. Mark Woods for District 3 County Board Nicole Dopler State Rep. Dis. 73 and Nolan Kemp State Rep. Dis. 74.

Saturday, September 13th - Lee County Democrats 2026 Jerry Sheridan Drawdown & Cookout - at Sheridan’s Walton Tap Picnic Ground, 906 Walton Rd., Dixon. A $100 ticket includes two meals with a choice of grilled pork chop, chicken, or portobellos. Sides and a drink are included. Food is served from 1:00 – 3:00pm. The drawdown begins at 3:00pm. Only 300 tickets are sold. $8,000 Grand Prize $15,000 Total Prizes. Tickets will go on sale soon. Contact Michael Soto at 773-230-2327 to buy your ticket or ask questions.

Sunday, October 18th – Grand Cash Raffle & Dinner – maximum 500 tickets to be sold, Grand Prize - $1500, 2nd prize - $300, 3rd prize - $100, 4th prize - $100. Raffle tickets-$20 each get your books of tickets to sell from Katherine Nelson. Dinner @ Primo’s Bar & Grill, 1711 West 4th Street, Sterling. Dinner of spaghetti, chicken strips, dinner roll, tossed salad, & soft drinks – Cost $20 per person. Reservations due by October 7th.
